Report of Activities


 The Department began the activities of the year 2016 with Saraswati Pooja followed by an event specific lecture on 12th February on the occasion of celebration of the festival of Basant. The speaker was Padmashri Dr. Ramakant Shukla who is a retired Associate Professor, Rajdhani College, University of Delhi and he enlightened the gathering consisting of students and faculty from Sanskrit and other departments on ‘Saraswati in the Vedas’.

Later, on 10th March, an interactive academic session was arranged with Professor Balram Singh from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, USA as the distinguished speaker. The topic of his address was ‘Scientific Lens on the Sanskrit Literature’.

The semester closed with a special ceremony by the Sanskrit association on 19th April 2016 which was an inter college activity with good participation.
